I’m Satanick Mukhuty, and this website is a small attempt to share my passion for chess composition — a fascination that took hold back in 2017-18 and has refused to let go since.
The idea is not merely to present problems and studies, but to linger over them: tracing false trails, noticing hidden patterns, and savouring the moment when everything finally clicks into place. Not infrequently, I also turn to the composers themselves; for without their imagination and craft, these small wonders would never have come into being. And what would the solver do without the composer? Just as competitive chess has its Kasparovs and Carlsens, this domain, too, has its all-time greats, its geniuses — though rarely acknowledged, let alone valued. I would certainly like this space to be a step towards changing that, casting light on these creative souls and the worlds they have given us.
